A future in which software uses environmental resources sparingly

The IT and software industry is currently responsible for around 4% of global CO2 emissions. And the trend is rising sharply. As players in digitalization, we have a responsibility and an opportunity to use our knowledge and position to stop this trend and minimize software emissions.

We advocate a future in which software uses environmental resources sparingly and accelerate the application of standards, tools and best practices for green software in Germany.

The association is currently being set up and we look forward to welcoming more founding members.
